Piercing care

How to care for your Piercing?

Healing times vary from person to person. Be aware that your piercing is an open wound and is therefore prone to infection. Jewellery should be worn until the wound is completely healed. Otherwise, this could lead to renewed opening of the wound and trauma for the newly forming skin in the injection canal. This can lead to longer healing times or overgrowth of the injection canal. A consequence of this may be the formation of excess scar tissue. Do not wear tight-fitting or dirty clothes over your piercing and ensure that your hands are clean whenever you touch it. Avoid allowing make-up, hairspray, creams and powder to come into contact with the wound. Take care when using hair dyes.

Once healed, piercings should also be incorporated into the hygiene routine. Care(during the entire healing stage 2x daily):

Avoid excessive pulling or rubbing against your piercing – Never rotate the jewellery if the discharge scab has not been removed – do not use saunas, swimming pools, lakes, solariums or steam baths for 3-4 weeks (if you do, however, clean the piercing afterwards!) Clean the area around the piercing with warm water and pH-neutral or anti-bacterial soap, then rinse off the soap with fresh water.
